Y'all, this is the kind of price that makes a stock-up mama's heart sing: Maruchan ramen for 9¢ a pack. Not 90¢. Nine. Cents. It's in the Safeway / Albertsons weekly ad for Wednesday, October 21 through Tuesday, October 27, as a forU digital deal — and if you have one of their stores near you, this is your sign to fill a cart corner.
๐ The deal
๐ Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup, select varieties — 9¢ each ๐ with the forU digital coupon, Oct 21–27 at Safeway, Albertsons, and their sister stores (Jewel-Osco, ACME, Shaw's, Star Market, Vons, Pavilions, Tom Thumb, Randalls, United Supermarkets, Haggen, Carrs — the Albertsons family is BIG, about 2,200 stores in 34 states).
- Clip the digital FIRST. This is a forU app deal — if you don't clip it before checkout, you'll pay regular price. (Learned that lesson the hard way on other deals, friends.)
- Limits vary by store — I've seen limit 24 and limit 48 in different ads. Even at limit 24, that's $2.16. At 48, it's $4.32 for a whole case of quick meals.
- Ads vary by region, so check your own store's weekly ad in the forU app before you make a special trip.

๐ค Is ramen actually good stockpile food? Honest answer
I hang out in stock-up and prepping groups, and when this ad got posted, the thread had over 100 comments debating exactly this. Here's the honest consensus, and I agree with it:
- Ramen is a ROTATE food, not a forever food. The noodles are fried, and fried oils go rancid over time. Ramen does not belong in your 10-year storage — it belongs in your working pantry, eaten and replaced within the year.
- Store it cool, dark, and sealed. A tote or a pantry shelf away from heat keeps it tasting right much longer.
- As cheap calories + comfort food, it's hard to beat. Bad day, sick kids, power's out but the camp stove works — a warm bowl of ramen fixes a lot. Dress it up with an egg, a handful of frozen veggies, or leftover chicken and it's a real meal.
- Buy what your family will actually eat. A stockpile only saves money if it rotates through your kitchen. If nobody at your house touches the beef flavor, don't buy 48 of them just because they're 9¢.
๐ก Before you go — stack the apps
While you're planning the trip, take 60 seconds to check the cash-back apps for grocery offers to activate BEFORE you shop — rebates don't backdate:
- Ibotta (my code: ABHRYVD) — activate any offers that match your list first.
- Fetch Rewards (use code T8W3Q when you sign up) — snap every receipt; points add up to gift cards.
- ReceiptJar (use code KRISUMKGH) — another easy receipt app to run alongside Fetch.
And if stocking up on the cheap is your love language too, my ๐งพ Coupon Corner page is where I keep every week's free and almost-free list, all in one place.
No Safeway or Albertsons near you? Don't worry — stock-up deals like this rotate through every chain, and I post them as I find them. The fastest way to catch them: deals hit my Telegram FIRST, and every day's full list lands on the deals blog. ๐
