Yesterday, Honestly: The All-Nighter, the Guilt-Free Sleep-In, and Launching a Business in the Taco Bell Drive-Thru

The Taco Bell drive-thru: part-time office, full-time hustle.

Welcome to The Networking Mama Diaries — real days, told honestly. No highlight reel.

Let me tell you about yesterday, because yesterday is exactly why I have so many kinds of income — and exactly why I needed them all.

The night before, I didn't sleep. I worked TurboTax all day, QuickBooks all evening, and then I put my cleaning headset on and recorded chore-app work until about 1:00 in the morning, because the house needed catching up on too. I got to bed really, really late.

So yesterday morning, after I got the kids on the bus, I gave myself permission to lay back down for a couple of hours. And I almost felt guilty about it. Almost. Then I didn't — because my body needed it, and a mama running on empty helps nobody.

Which meant a later start. A few less QuickBooks hours than planned. Old me would have spiraled about it. Instead, the day just... ebbed and flowed. TurboTax, then QuickBooks, and then in the evening I took the boys to basketball practice at 7:30 — and worked on my marketing, my blogs, and my Facebook pages right there from the sidelines, because bleachers are an office if you say they are.

My why, asleep in the back seat. ๐Ÿ’›

The line that launched a blog.

And then? I went DoorDashing to catch up the hours the morning didn't have. That's the whole secret, if there is one: my gigs don't all have to fire on the same day. When one stream runs short, another one kicks in at a different time of day. TurboTax has its hours. QuickBooks has its hours. The chore apps pay me to clean my own house. And DoorDash is there at midnight when the day needs a top-up.

It's not one job. It's an ecosystem. And yesterday it flexed exactly the way it's supposed to.

Oh — and the best part? Last night, sitting in the Taco Bell drive-thru line waiting on a DoorDash order, I launched a whole new Black Friday blog and Facebook Page and mapped out my next guides (including a full 365-day life system I've wanted to build for years). In the drive-thru. Between deliveries. That's not a brag — that's the point of building income that fits around your real life instead of the other way around.

The mobile office: laptop, DoorDash bag, and a dream.
The order I was waiting on while it all went live. (Customer name blurred — always.)

If your days look a little chaotic and a lot improvised, you're not doing it wrong. You might just need more than one stream, and permission to let them ebb and flow. That's literally why this blog — and my Start Here page — exists.

Yesterday's toolkit, if you want any of it: ๐Ÿ’ป My contract work runs through Working Solutions (that's the platform behind my QuickBooks and TurboTax programs) and Arise (use my CSPID 5047661 when it asks who referred you). ๐Ÿš— DoorDash is my catch-up lane — I dash in the Springfield area between everything else (want to dash? Sign up with my link — they're always running offers for new Dashers around Springfield). ๐Ÿงน The chore apps pay me to record cleaning my own house (yes, really), and the money apps I run between orders all live on my Start Here page. And the blogs, pages and marketing? My AI agent Muse rides along in the passenger seat and helps me run all of it — including at 1 AM in a drive-thru line. #ad I earn on qualifying sign-ups through some of these links.
