This Week's FREEBIES & Cheap Deals: Walgreens, Dollar General, Dollar Tree & More (Week of Nov 3)

It's coupon week, y'all! 🙌 Every week I round up the best freebies and cheap deals you can actually go grab — the kind where you stack a store deal + a digital coupon + a rebate app and walk out paying pennies (or nothing!). This week's list covers Walgreens, CVS, Dollar General (including Saturday's $5-off-$25 basket AND the brand-new penny list), Dollar Tree, and a whole stack of free-after-rebate finds.

Quick heads-up before you shop: digital coupons and register rewards can vary by store and by account, so always peek at your store app before you head out. If a deal is gone at your store, don't sweat it — a fresh list drops every week. 💛

📱 Apps to Have FIRST (this is how the freebies happen!)

Almost every deal below works because of a rebate app. Get these set up before you shop — they're all free, and stacking them is the whole game:

  • Ibotta 👈 — the big one for grocery & household rebates (code ABHRYVD)
  • Fetch Rewards (use code T8W3Q) 👈 — snap ANY receipt, earn points toward gift cards
  • Receipt Hog 👈 — upload receipts, earn coins (code clar7156)
  • ReceiptJar (use code KRISUMKGH) 👈 — more receipt points, stacks with the others
  • CoinOut 👈 — every receipt counts, even the tiny ones
  • Pogo 👈 — automatic cash back on linked purchases (code GDWG8N)
  • Frisbee 👈 — receipt scanning that pays (code R1MGB)
  • Rakuten 👈 — cash back when you shop online (code KRISTE32527)
  • Upside 👈 — cash back on gas & groceries (code 4P5HF)
  • Swagbucks 👈 — receipts, surveys & cash back in one place
  • TopCashback 👈 — another online cash-back option to compare rates

You'll also see Aisle mentioned in the freebies below — it's a text-based rebate program (you buy the item, text your receipt, and get paid back by Venmo or PayPal). I don't have a referral link for it, I just use it because the freebies are too good to skip!

🆓 FREEBIES — Free After Coupon, Rebate or Rewards

This is the section I get most excited about. Every single one of these is FREE after the rebate — all posted by deal sites Nov 2–3, so go sooner than later. Free-after-rebate offers are always "while supplies last," so if one is out of funds, check back — new ones pop up all week.

🏪 WALGREENS — Best of the Week

Real talk: Walgreens doesn't have a true $0 freebie this week — the cheapest deal in the store is the 50¢ Colgate in the steals list above, and honestly, 50¢ toothpaste might as well be free. Here's what else is worth a Walgreens stop:

  • 50¢ Colgate toothpaste and 99¢ Axe body wash — full breakdowns in the Under $1 list above
  • $1 U by Kotex/Poise, $1 Orbit gum, $1.39 Ryl Iced Tea, $1.50 foil & wrap — holiday prep for pocket change
  • Laundry 4 for $10 (Bounce, Downy, Gain, Mr. Clean, Tide Simply) — the best laundry price of the week
  • Crest/Oral-B at $2 each — and that $3/3 digital is good through 11/21, so no rush-panic
  • Shopping online instead? Walgreens.com codes running through Nov 28: NOV15 = 15% off $35+, NOV20 = 20% off $50+, WAG10 = 10% off
  • myWalgreens booster (Nov 1–7): get $10 in Walgreens Cash on digital orders of $30+

How to do it: Clip every digital in the Walgreens app BEFORE you shop, and always scan your receipt into Fetch Rewards (use code T8W3Q) 👈 and Receipt Hog 👈 afterward — those pennies-per-receipt add up to real gift cards by Christmas.

🪙 DOLLAR GENERAL PENNY DEALS — This Week's List (Nov 3)

Okay, penny shoppers — here's the scoop, with the honest fine print FIRST, because I never want you going in with bad info:

How penny shopping works: When Dollar General discontinues an item, its price in the system eventually drops to $0.01. That penny price is really an internal signal telling employees "pull this from the shelf" — it's not a sale. If an item is still sitting on the shelf when you find it, it usually rings up a penny at the register. New penny markdowns land on Tuesdays, and the lists get posted Monday afternoons.

The rules of being a GOOD penny shopper:

  • ✅ Scan items with the DG app (set to YOUR store) before you head to checkout
  • ✅ Match the item and the UPC — a different scent/size is a different item
  • ❌ NEVER ask an employee to find or price-check penny items for you — that's the fastest way to get them pulled before you can buy
  • ❌ If it doesn't scan a penny at your store, don't argue — prices are store-by-store
  • ⚠️ Stores can refuse to sell items that were supposed to be pulled (like recalled items). Be gracious, always.

This week's penny list — effective Tuesday, Nov 3, 2026

Three categories were marked MOS ("Marked Out of Stock") on 11/03/2026: July Non-Core MAG items, private-brand (Studio Selection) suncare, and summer insect control. Here are the item-level pennies reported across The Freebie Guy, Krazy Coupon Lady, FreeStuffFinder and Crazy4Couponing:

  • Studio Selection SPF 50 Sunscreen Spray, 5.5 oz — UPC 072785144842
  • Studio Selection Kids Sunscreen Spray SPF 50, 11 oz — UPC 072785146631
  • Studio Selection Sheer Touch SPF 100 Sunscreen Mist Spray, 5.5 oz — UPC 072785144859
  • Studio Selection Sport SPF 100 Sunscreen Spray, 5.5 oz — UPC 199579000419
  • Studio Selection SPF 15 Tanning Sunscreen Spray, 5.5 oz — UPC 199579000402
  • Studio Selection SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion for Babies, 8 oz — UPC 072785141438
  • Studio Selection Sport Sunscreen Spray SPF 50 Family Size, 11 oz — UPC 072785141773
  • Studio Selection Ultra Lotion SPF 50, 3 oz — UPC 072785144880
  • Wild Tropics Sunscreen Spray SPF 50 Fresh Banana, 5.5 oz — UPC 072785141414
  • Spectracide Foaming Wasp & Hornet Killer, 14 oz — UPC 071121974044
  • Raid Fly Stick, 1 ct — UPC 072477986002
  • Raid Fly Ribbon, 10 ct — UPC 072477986019
  • Bugables Mosquito Repellent Citronella Wristband — UPC 072477983759
  • Pop-Tarts Super Stuffed Strawberry, 5 ct — UPC 038000303586
  • Pop-Tarts Super Stuffed Chocolate Lava, 5 ct — UPC 038000303609

Also reported by community scanners this week (weaker sourcing — double-check these in the app): Caress Daily Silk Beauty Bars 6-pk, Caress Shea Butter & Brown Sugar Body Wash 20 oz, Suave Dry Spray Antiperspirant Coconut Kiss 3.8 oz, and Cesar Classic Loaf Duck dog food trays.

Honest note from every source: "marked out of stock" does NOT guarantee an item rings a penny at your store — some stores show these at 10¢ or regular clearance instead. The app scan at YOUR store is the only truth. Happy hunting, and be kind to the cashiers! 💛

🌲 DOLLAR TREE — $1.25 Finds Worth Grabbing

No coupons needed here — just good $1.25 finds spotted in this week's roundups (availability varies by store, as always at Dollar Tree):

  • Cooking Concepts Stainless Steel Kitchen Shears — $1.25 (you need a pair for the kitchen AND a spare for packages!)
  • Metal Cooling Rack 16×10 — $1.25 (holiday baking season is HERE)
  • Scented Candle in a Ribbed Jar — $1.25
  • Reed Diffuser, Apple Cinnamon — $1.25 (fall smell without the fall price)
  • SPA Luxury Brazilian Flora Body Butter, 6 oz — $1.25
  • SPA Luxury Scented Lip Butter — $1.25
  • SPA Luxury Gold Glitter Vanilla Bath Bombs, 2-pk — $1.25 (stocking stuffers!)
  • Udderly Smooth Hand Cream, 2 oz — $1.25 (a real name brand!)
  • Special Moments White Picture Frame with Gold Trim, 5×7 — $1.25
  • Moon Pies, all 3 flavors — $1.25
  • Oven Baked Fudge Striped Shortbread & Fudge Mint Cookies — $1.25
  • Lil' Dutch Maid Butter Ring Cookies, 11.5 oz — $1.25

A few finds ring up a little higher at the newer price points — these are clearly marked in stores, and they're still dupes worth grabbing: Christmas icon glass cups $1.50 (a Pottery Barn lookalike!), glass pantry jars with steel lids $1.50, 4-pk glass prep bowls $1.50, gold charger plates $1.50, and ELLE UGG-lookalike slippers for $5.

💊 CVS — This Week's Standouts

CVS honestly went HARD this week — half the steals list above is CVS. The headline deals beyond those:

  • Revlon at $0.24 each and Cetaphil at $0.59 — the two best beauty deals of the week (full stacks in the Under $1 list)
  • P&G Spend $30, Get $10 ExtraBucks (Nov 1–14) on select laundry, household and paper — stack it with Tide/Charmin sales for a stock-up run
  • Gift card deal: buy $100 in select gift cards (Wayfair, Chipotle, H&M, Zillions) and get $20 ExtraBucks — buy the gift cards you'd gift anyway, keep the ExtraBucks for yourself 😉
  • Lysol Wipes ~$0.70 each & Finish Quantum at $0.99 each — cleaning supplies for less than the dollar store

How to do it: CVS deals live and die by your ExtraCare account — clip digitals in the app, and ALWAYS scan your receipts into ReceiptJar (use code KRISUMKGH) 👈 and CoinOut 👈 when you get home.

🏬 Do OTHER Stores Have Penny Deals?

Y'all ask me this every time I post the DG penny list, so here's the honest store-by-store answer. Only a few stores have TRUE one-cent items like Dollar General. Everywhere else, the game is hidden or unmarked clearance — items cheaper in the system than the shelf tag says. Here's the real deal on each store:

🏠 Home Depot — TRUE penny items ✅

Yes! Home Depot is the other famous penny store. Discontinued items step down a clearance ladder over a few weeks, and the final stop is $0.01 — the system's signal to pull the item. Look for the yellow clearance tags and read the price endings: .06 = early markdown, .03 = final markdown, .01 = penny item. The tag doesn't always keep up with the system, so scan barcodes in the Home Depot app or at self-checkout. Honest fine print: the store CAN refuse to sell a penny item (it was supposed to be pulled), prices are store-by-store, and Home Depot has never published an official policy — everything comes from shopper reports. (Sources: Paydirt's penny list, updated Oct 28, 2026; PennyLoot; PennyCentral's community board.)

🔨 Lowe's — Real, but rare (1¢–6¢ finds)

Lowe's does produce penny-stage items, but they're scarcer and less predictable than Home Depot's. A community tracker (ClearanceFinds) logged 143 Lowe's finds at 1¢–6¢ during Oct 1–17, 2026 alone — tool boxes, totes, seasonal leftovers. There's no published markdown calendar and no reliable list; it's a scan-the-clearance-endcaps game, and most stores will have nothing in a given week. (Source: ClearanceFinds Lowe's Penny List, October 2026.)

🏡 Family Dollar — TRUE penny items ✅ (with a catch)

Family Dollar has REAL penny deals — discontinued items drop to $0.01 the same way DG's do, and there's no public list or schedule, so it's a check-clearance-endcaps habit. The catch: stores are allowed to refuse to sell penny items, and many will, so don't plan a trip around a specific rumored item. (Sources: The Krazy Coupon Lady's penny roundup; PennyLoot; FreeStuffFinder's Family Dollar guide.)

🌲 Dollar Tree — TRUE penny items ✅ (with a policy!) 🏆

Big news if you love Dollar Tree: its 2026 policy update says that if an item rings up $0.01, the store will sell it to you — no refusals. Dollar Tree penny items are scarce (most of its "deals" are really just $1.25 finds), but a 2026 list update from Krazy Coupon Lady flagged 9 new penny items, including 3-D Glitter Wall Stickers (all styles) and Glitter Lip Gloss (all colors). Scan everything at self-checkout — that's the only reliable way to find them. (Sources: Krazy Coupon Lady's Dollar Tree penny roundup; Dollar Tree's 2026 penny policy.)

🛒 Walmart, 🎯 Target, 💊 CVS & 🏪 Walgreens — NO pennies ❌

These four do NOT do penny-stage pricing. Walmart marks discontinued items down as low as $0.50 or so, but never a penny. Target's clearance floor is the 70% off tier in its step-down cycle (30% → 50% → 70%). CVS and Walgreens markdowns bottom out at 50–75% off. At all four, the game is scan everything with the store app and watch for the hidden clearance tags: unmarked clearance that rings lower than the shelf tag is the closest thing to a "penny" these stores offer.
