Paid to Talk: Two Ways I Get Paid for My Opinions (One You Type, One You Film)

🏠 Networking Mama Home · 🔥 Today's Deals · 💛 Start Here — All My Links

Honest note before we start: neither platform in this post gives me a referral link to share. CloudResearch Connect has no referral program at all, and I don't have one for Brox — so I earn absolutely nothing if you join either one. I'm writing about them anyway, because I use both, they stack up quietly, and the points currently sitting in my Brox account are honestly a little funny. Everything below is my own experience and my own numbers — nothing here is a promise you'll earn the same.

Paid to Talk: Two Ways I Get Paid for My Opinions (One You Type, One You Film)

Most survey sites want you to click little bubbles for twenty minutes. These two are different, and they're different from each other. One pays me to type my opinions into real research studies. The other pays me to talk — literally record myself answering questions on camera. Neither one is loud money. Both of them are what I call quiet stackers: they build up in the background while you're busy living your actual life, and one day you open the app and go, "oh. There's money in here?"

The Two in This Post, at a Glance

✍️ CloudResearch Connect — the typer. Real research studies you read and answer in writing. Once a study is approved, cashing out to PayPal is instant. No referral program — I get nothing for telling you about it.

🎥 Brox Surveys — the talker. Video surveys: they send a question, you record your answer out loud. Each invite pays points, and the points quietly stack up until you cash them in. I don't have a referral link for this one either.

Connect: The One I Can Prove to the Penny

If you read my Quiet Earners post, you already met Connect — it's the panel behind the number that made me stop mid-coffee: $817.57 in lifetime earnings, and $114.71 of that is just this year. It's still the first one I check when I sit down at my desk.

Here's the rhythm of it. You fill out your profile honestly, browse the studies posted that day, and take the ones you qualify for. The pay matches the effort — small studies pay small, longer ones pay more. This week I had a $5.00 study approved, and the second it was approved, that money was mine: Connect's cashout to PayPal is instant once a study is approved. The approval itself is the part that takes patience — researchers approve on their own timeline, not yours. But the pile doesn't care about your timeline. It just keeps growing: five dollars here, eight dollars there, until one day the total has three digits and a comma's worth of attitude.

And because honesty is the whole brand around here: Connect has no referral program. No link, no code, no bonus for me. I'm telling you about it because it works, full stop.

Brox: The One That Pays Me to Talk

Brox is the newer addition to my rotation, and it's built for people who would rather talk than type. Instead of clicking through pages of bubbles, you get invited to a survey, they ask you questions, and you record your answers on video — your thoughts, your opinions, out loud, like you're explaining something to a friend. (Brox is run by the same company behind Perdure, if that name rings a bell.)

The invites pay in points — usually 200 to 400 points per survey — and most take about 10 to 15 minutes. Points are worth roughly a penny apiece (about 100 points ≈ $1), so a finished survey lands somewhere around two to four dollars in points. Not huge. But here's my confession, and the reason this post exists: I am terrible at remembering to do them. The invites come in, life happens, and they sit there… until I finally sit down and knock out a whole batch at once. When I opened Brox this week I had about $19 in points just sitting in my account, with roughly $26 more in invites still waiting for me to record. Money I had already been offered, just quietly stacking up because the surveys don't expire the second they arrive.

That's the whole Brox pitch, honestly: if you're the kind of person who thinks better out loud than on a keyboard, video answers are faster and easier than typing essays into survey boxes — and the points pile up in the background whether you're paying attention or not. (Ask me how I know. 😅)

How I Run the Two Together

They don't compete — they cover different moments of my day. Connect is desk time: coffee poured, laptop open, ten quiet minutes before the house wakes up. Brox is batch time: I prop my phone up, pick a quiet corner of my home, and record a stack of video answers back to back, usually while I'm already in "recording mode" for other apps. One pays in dollars I can send to PayPal the moment a study clears; the other pays in points that build up while I'm not looking. Typed or talked — either way, my opinions are apparently worth a few bucks, and I'll take it.

Real expectations, because I always give them to you straight: neither of these replaces a shift, a paycheck, or a grocery run on its own. This is gas money, snack money, the little cushion that makes a tight week less tight — earned in ten-minute pieces that fit around real life instead of demanding you rearrange it.

So that's my current opinion-money setup, mamas: one site that pays me to type, one that pays me to talk, and a Brox balance that mostly grows because I forget it exists. If you try either one, come back and tell me — and if you've got a stacker of your own sitting forgotten in some app right now, go open it. You might have grocery money in there. 💛

Honesty note: this post contains NO affiliate or referral links — CloudResearch Connect has no referral program, and I don't hold a referral link for Brox, so I earn nothing from either platform if you join. The figures are mine, from my own dashboards on October 23, 2026 (Connect: $817.57 lifetime, $114.71 in 2026, with a $5.00 study newly approved; Brox: about $19 in points on hand with about $26 in open invites, at roughly 100 points ≈ $1). Your results will vary, survey availability depends on your profile and where you live, and nothing here is guaranteed income — it's spare-minutes money, and I present it that way on purpose.
